Free Children's Picture Book Georgia and the U.F.O. - 16th and 17th August

Georgia and the U.F.O. is FREE this weekend.

That's right tell your mother and father, aunts and uncles, grand parents and even next door's dog. Georgia and the U.F.O. is celebrating it's debut on Kindle with a free giveaway weekend.

'O.K.' you're probably asking 'What's it all about?'

Well, Georgia is back in her second adventure and this time she's just minding her own business on her favourite hillside when a U.F.O. and a slightly bewildered alien make their presence known.

Told entirely in rhyme 'Georgia and the U.F.O.' is not only a fun read for parents, preschoolers and beginning readers alike, but also educational, as it features over 45 Key Stage 1 High Frequency Words (for UK readers) and over 45 Dolch List Kindergarten Primer/Pre-Primer Non Nouns (for US readers).

So remember to download it this weekend and it won't cost you a penny!

Georgia and the U.F.O. FREE THIS WEEKEND!

Hello,
Doesn't time fly? It seems a terribly long time since I last said 'Hello' and to be truthful it is! All I can say is 'I'm sorry', and I'll try to keep in touch more often.

Anyway, onto the exciting stuff. Since I last spoke to you I've been trying to get my head around completing an illustrated children's picture book on Kindle that occupies the majority of the screen. (I know it sounds pretty simple, but not when you've got a brain that runs a mile when it sees computer code.)

However, after burning the midnight oil for quite some time, I've done it. All my rhyming picture books are now available in 'Full Screen Format' which means they look pretty darn good (or so I think) on the Kindle Fire, Fire HD and several other Kindle platforms.

Now you might remember from my last post, I'd just released 'Georgia's Big Idea' as an interactive book on iTunes, well, 'Georgia's Big Idea is now available as an illustrated children's picture book for early readers on Kindle. But what I'm really excited about is 'Georgia and the U.F.O.' the next picture book in the Georgia series will be FREE this weekend (16th and 17th of August) on Kindle.

That's right 'Georgia and the U.F.O.' is FREE this weekend and then it goes back to it's normal price.
What's the story about? Tell you what I'll check back in tomorrow and tell you all about it then.

Georgia's Big Idea YouTube Video

I've just had some great news - well it made me smile a lot! 'Georgia's Big Idea' is going to be published in the very near future and you'll be able to find it in the iTunes App store. That's right Georgia will go fully interactive in the next few days.

So to mark this auspicious occasion I'm delighted to release upon the unsuspecting public (yep that does mean you) the world premiere of 'Georgia's Big Idea the Promotional Video'.

It's short, it's sweet and hopefully gives you a quick taster of the App - in fact I'd love to know if you like it - so don't be shy, drop me a comment either here, on YouTube or even by email it'll be great to hear from you.

Huckabee the Little Blue Dragon

Whoopee! You know when you get that excited feeling running up and down your spine - well guess what ...I've got it. My latest children's picture book, 'Huckabee the Little Blue Dragon' is now available on Kindle.

As you may have already guessed from the title, Huckabee is a dragon who's small and blue, not the perfect combination when you  want to be green and imposing.

Still Huckabee learns that, just because he isn't the same as everyone else, it doesn't mean that he isn't special in his own right.

Deep down, 'Huckabee the Little Blue Dragon' is really a story about self esteem and learning to like yourself for who you are, but if that sounds a little tough going for your average 3-5 year old don't despair because the story is fun to read.

Huckabee the Little Blue Dragon is available now on Kindle and FREE from Saturday 30th March to Monday 1st April.

Hope you enjoy it and if you've got time please leave a review on Amazon. Thanks

I Like Breakfast

I've got to say I'm pretty excited, my brand new picture book 'I Like Breakfast' is hot off the kindle press today!
I know we've all heard the old expression 'Breakfast is good for you' but sadly we don't always take on board good advice, especially when you've got a fussy eater and the busy day is crowding in all around us.

That's why 'I Like Breakfast' is such a useful children's picture book, not only is it humourous and engaging but it also gently educates your child into wanting a healthy breakfast.

Anyway I hope you have as much fun reading  'I Like Breakfast' as I had creating it.
Happy Eating - Dan

Hello! It's Hello World Day

Have you ever heard of ‘Hello World Day’?

I must admit I was completely oblivious of it until today and then someone I’d never met before said Hello to me and then explained why.

Apparently, every 21st of November (Hello World Day), the idea is to say ‘Hello’ to at least ten people, as a simple message to everyone that communication amongst ourselves is a pretty cool idea.

So to everyone who is reading this, ‘Hello’ and have a very happy ‘Hello World Day’.

Georgia's Big Idea

Say hello to Georgia the cow, the star and eponymous heroine of  'Georgia's Big Idea'.

Now Georgia is not you normal everyday cow, admittedly she's happy and contented munching grass and living by the sea but when she gets an idea into her head, she's a cow on a mission.
And this time Georgia's big idea is to fly!!!

Well as you can imagine getting a cow to be airborne is pretty difficult, even on a good day, so Georgia's journey of discovery is fraut with trials and tribulations, however, along the way she learns that perserverance is a quality that quite often helps you achieve your dreams.

Wonderfully narrated and already a winner in the InteractBooks international 'Bring your Book to Life' contest, Georgia's Big Idea is an interactive children's picture book that's ideal for young readers everywhere. Featuring many of the United Kingdom's recommended Key Stage 1 'High Frequency' words it's a beautiful rhyming story that will be loved by children, teachers and parents the world over.

Georgia's Big Idea will be available to download in the very near future... As they say 'Watch this space for details!'

Have you seen Georgia on the Colouring Page

Say hello to Georgia the cow, she's the heroine in my latest story/interactive App 'Georgia's Big Idea'.
I 've got to admit it I'm pretty excited, as this is the first time Georgia has sneaked out into the public gaze. You see, sometime during this month ( hooves crossed) Georgia will be able to bound across your iPad in all of her glory (but more of that at a later date).
In the meantime, Georgia has made her debut on the free colouring page. If you remember I did promise to keep on adding new colouring page images, so print her off at your leisure and happy colouring in.

Some Cats - Top of the Kindle Bestsellers

Well 'Some Cats' had a wonderful weekend!
Downloaded hundreds of times, 'Some Cats' shot to the number one slot in the Kindle store, both here in the U.K. and also in the United States.
In fact, when  you think about it, I suppose you could say 'Some Cats' had a PURRFECT couple of days.
So thank-you to everyone that downloaded the picture book I really hoped you enjoyed it and if any of you can find the time a review would be absolutely marvellous.
